Question: Why do people ignore me when I say hi to them?
I’m at work and usually I am so shy whether it is at work or in public when I say hi to strangers! Not even because of that. I try to be friendly and outgoing as much as possible but I lose confidence thanks to snobs who are rude and never say hi back! So why is it people never say hi back when I say hi to them first? I am just being friendly and I know we are strangers and don’t know each other but that shouldn’t give them the disrespect to ignore me.

So today at work this woman who walks past me, she is walking fast, and she looks at me and I just quickly say “hi”. So after I just said hi to her, she just gives me a dirty look like I am retarded or have severe special needs! She treated me like I had some kind of disability and I dont understand what her problem was! It’s not like she didnt hear me and she knew I was talking to her but she didn’t say hi back. Should I even still be friendly even though she always ignores me?

So then a week goes by and I see her again at the vending machines and I am sitting on break and shes silent but she walks over to me again when I am sitting at the table and I just say: Hi. How are you today?” and I also added when she had a granola bar out of the vending machines: “That looks so delicious and healthy!” and again, she completley ignored me and I was thinking: “HERE WE GO AGAIN!! ANOTHER REPEAT! AND I THOUGHT SHE WAS JUST MAYBE HAVING A BAD DAY BUT SHE CERTAINLY WAS AGAINST ME AND DIDNT WANT TO BE FRIENDLY!” However, only this time she just stood there for like a minute with her arms crossed and I said in a joking way with kind of waving in her face: “HELLO?! CAT GOT UR TONGUE?!” And she says in a rude way: “NOT FUNNY! YOU BETTER LEAVE ME ALONE! I’M GOING TO REPORT YOU TO HUMAN RESOURCES!” So at that point with my heart racing, I give up! Why is she acting rude? I mean I hate getting treated like I have a disability because I do have aspergers and I am trying to improve my social skills with just a simple hi and smile.

I also noticed she says hi to everyone else except me. Why? Maybe I say hi to her at a bad time? I dunno what her problem is!

i’m sorry.
some people don’t know how to deal with people that are different. they either ignore them or talk down to them or act regularly i guess. try out your social skills on someone else, but continue to smile (in a non creepy way of course) whenever you see her and just say a quick hello without any possibility for a long conversation. then maybe she’ll get used to you. again, in the meantime, talk to someone else. =]

What happens to stockholders? What happens to the execs receiving billions in bonuses? Who runs the banks if they are nationalized, the same execs who wrecked their finances?

My brother always says I should start earning money early by marketing merchandise like tee-shirts and magnets so I can get my art into the world. Does anyone know ways of doing this that are somewhat effective and don’t require a minimum age? (or at least one that’s really low)

Why did you choose to major in finances(if you did)?

I bank with B of A and I also have my home mortgage through them. Unfortunate times have come and I am going to have to foreclose my home. Can they look at my finances without my consent just because I have my mortgage through them. When I look at my online banking, my mortgage is linked up to my accounts?

I have a condo that is about a year old and the management has been nothing but trouble since the building was registered. I asked them how to get in touch with the board of directors and they said that all requests are fielded by the management company and they contact the board on behalf of the tenants. Is this normal?
The management company has a relationship with the builder, so when repairs are needed, they do not act in the best interests of the tenants, but defend the builder.
Obviously they are not telling the board how many complaints they receive. Any suggestions on what to do about this? I am in Ontario.

Tips are getting changed before it goes to payroll. Management is actually changing the amount of tips employees are reporting. So to the accountant it looks like this is what the employees actually reported.
