Concidering to rent my house through a property management service, …… a good and reputable serivice. Or
going through the hassle of renting it myself, not knowing the in’s and out’s of credit checks, references, … how much deposits, and other important miscellaneous items, ..

I want to eliminate the rest of my credit card debt. I see the ads for debt management services where they work with your creditors to reduce your interest rates, then combine all of your debt together, where you pay them one payment per month. My husband thinks this will reflect negativly on our credit report. Has anyone ever done this, and were you succesful in eliminating debt? Did it affect your credit rating in a nigative manner? I think that most people in America today, have alot of consumer debt, but I see many poeple who aren’t worried about it, and only pay the monthly minimums each month. I have been there before, but I am ready to pay it all off. What do you think? I would love to hear from anyone who has used these services before, or any other great idea to pay it all off, without taking out any more loans. Thanks!

Ideally, the service would take your paycheck and pay your bills and then send you the rest. They would also have a way to ensure the person could not get access to money in other ways (credit cards, etc).

Just wondering if anyone has used a debt management service and knows if this is possible. I know they set them to automatically close when they are finished, but does anyone know if you can contact the credit card company and ask them to leave it open once it is paid off? The reason I ask is because I know it is better for your credit score to have accounts that are a few years old open, with available credit, rather than closing them when they are paid off.

My father in law cannot manage his finances. We need a service that can pay his bills for him. We cannot do it personally because of the stress it puts into the family unit. We need an outside party to help with this

My company is in dire need of some marketing support. We have been approached by a marketing group who has contacts in our field and they have set a specific number for three months worth of services (includes money for packaging, advertising, etc.). How much on average should a company invest into marketing?

How is service marketing different from product marketing? How is it the same?

Because of the sagging real estate market and astronomical house prices in our area, we have decided to rent out our too-small-for-us condo and then rent a house. WE have no experience as landlords and think going with a management company is the best choice for getting started in this. I know I could just pick a management company at random out of the yellow pages, but i have NO IDEA what to ask them, how to know if they are any good or not – i’m basically clueless.
