I’m in college with a double major of marketing and management. My goal is to work for a major coffee company or restaurant chain after I graduate. I have no previous management experience, but I have worked in foodservice for 3 years– two as part of the waitstaff, one as a prep cook. Is there hope for me?

I would like to know more about how to manage the finance, cash flow and other management issues for a restaurant.

Could you suggest a marketing tool which entices you to buy more pizzas?

I recently graduated with an A.A.S degree in restaurant management. (I also have a B.S. in Accounting.) My G.P.A. was 4.0. However, my work co-op during school was practically worthless. I need to attain some meaningful management experience in a learning environment in order to jumpstart my new career. I would prefer information regarding an internship or management trainee position in either Chattanooga, Nashville, or Knoxville. Thank you.

I will be going to school full time and I’m looking for something that will allow me to work full time to start out and part time after January. I have 13 years of work experience, 5 of those in management and 2 of the 5 in General Management. All from the restaurant industry.

I’m thinking about changing professions, but I’m looking for ideas and opinions about what I could get into after leaving restaurant management, WITHOUT having to go to college or more training. Anyone else ever been in restaurant management and changed to something else that was more fulfilling?

Our company finish writing a software and decided to sell it on the market. It is a point of sale software design specifically for restaurant. However, I have no ideas where to find customer. I need people’s insight on what can I do to reach people who will give me a chance to show them the product and tell how will this restaurant management software help them to grow their business.

I am currently looking for a job and I have found several listings for open houses for local restaurants for management positions. I have never been to one of these, so I would like to know basically how they work and what I should expect.

Where do I invest? What worked for you? Its always been my dream to own an Italian restaurant;)

Is it possible to get some government aid to open my own restaurant, I was thinking about having a diner/nightclub kinda thing. I was wondering what all I’d have to do to make this happen?
