I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Marketing and Communications. I am going in for an interview soon with two companies and I want to know what sort of questions they would ask regarding my education. Would they ask anything specific about what I studied (ie. What are the 4 P’s of Marketing), or would it be more about my experience and where I want to go in the future? If so, I might want to brush up on a few things.

I recently learned a bit more about the business industry from a seminar at my college, but wasn’t able to get my questions answered. I worked for a family owned shoe store and was able to help decide on which shoes were to be ordered, make company desicions, etc., and I loved having the responsibility to make good business decisions. I’m just wondering what I should consider for my major; Business with a focus on marketing, or management? Any insight would be helpful!

I just got a call back from the Brooklyn census office to come in to take a management test for the census tomorrow. I am going for Assistant Manager of Recruitment. What kinds of questions can I expect on the test? They say they are testing manager scenarios. What can I expect and quick please! I take the test tomorrow at 5:30!

I have a two fold question. First, I am wanting to open a retirement account for my children ages 8 and 5. Can I open an account in their name or is there an age limit? Also, I was wondering if I can get a credit card issued for them, secured or unsecured, at such a young age. I am trying to get some sort of credit established for them while they are young so that they can start to learn to manage credit. I would also like to hear if people think that’s a good idea or not for both questions.

A friend has an interview next week and wants me to help her prepare…what are the most common questions in an interview for a management accounting position? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Why does it matter if you work in marketing or market research.
Tim, wouldn’t a person who works in marketing or market research know not to say he/she works in the industry?

For our marketing class assignment, we are required to submit a marketing plan for the launch of a new product. We will be visiting a company’s General Manager, Marketing to gain insight. We are a group of 5. We are allowed half an hour with him. In this limited time frame what questions should we ask in order to facilitate our inventing a new product and developing a marketing plan accordingly?
