Last year several debits never cleared our bank acct. Now, after 18 months, they are being taken out at one time. Over 800.00 worth. Can they do this? How can you fight this as it will drastically effect our finances. Can it be set up to take out a portion per month? What do we do?

I am helping my best friend clear up her finances and she has many, many old collection notices on her credit report that are helping to drag her rating down. They are probably 4-7 years old. Do these ever fall off? Or get written off? It seems like they just keep transferring them to other agencies. She also has a Household Bank credit card in collections – should this be paid first or the old debt? She tried to make arrangements with the collection agency for Household but they wanted much more a month than she could give them, and they refused to make arrangements so right now they are getting nothing. Help – I am not sure where to start.

We really need to upgrade to a bigger house. Recently our family expanded to 4 kids in a 3 bedroom house. Our credit hasn’t been the greatest, but in the past month we have taken care of any outstanding debt on our credit reports, caught up on our current house payment (we were one month behind), paid off half of our one credit card bill and will be timely on all payments, and are current on all other finances. How long will it take for our credit scores to start improving enough to qualify for a home loan?

I work part time at Sam’s Club and I am scheduled to work until 9:30 on the weekdays, which is considered closing. Our managers usually keep us there from 1-2 hours past our scheduled time. Just wondering if we are allowed to leave at 9:30, and not get fired. Thanks all!

I mean years wise since management and corporate is sloppy in it’s actions and how they treat thier employees is poor.

My husband and I desperately need a new vehicle, but we are in the middle of purchasing our first home. I need to know how long we have to wait before being able to finance a car. Thank you for your help!

Such as the background check, credit history, employment verification, etc. before the actual signing of the lease can occur.

In other words, what time-consuming activities have to happen before closing, when the owner providing the financing is already satisfied of the property’s value and condition, so there is no need for additional inspection, appraisal, etc.?

I assume the key issues are paying off the owner’s mortgage, recording the owner-financed mortgage, and getting the title transferred to the new owner. But do those get done before or after closing?
The owner’s liquid assets plus the seller’s down payment will add up to enough to pay off ther owner’s mortgage.
