If your apartment goes under new management is that grounds for the tenant to terminate the lease? ?
Our apartment recently went under new management and they’re adding new rules that weren’t in the lease. Is this grounds to terminate my lease? We’re wanting to move anyway because the place isn’t being up kept. If you think it is, do you have any official law or ordinance that states that? We live in Oklahoma. Thanks in Advance.
How long does it take apartment management to process the pre-application for a lease?
Such as the background check, credit history, employment verification, etc. before the actual signing of the lease can occur.
I’m wondering how long I should wait before following up.
Breaking a lease under new management?
I am planning to move 4 months before my lease ends. The only thing I see in the contract is that I will forfeit my deposit. New management took over about two months ago. I did not sign a new contract. Is there a possiblilty that I may be penalized in any other way?
If my apartment management company sells the building to another company, is that an arbitration of the lease?
I’m a California resident and don’t agree with some crazy policy the new management has created regarding fumigation (once a week for the next month). What can I do to object this activity?
Is it normal or legal for management to change the rules in the middle of a lease agreement?
The apartment management has just changed the rules for my lease agreement. The payments don’t change however.
I think the parking policy and the noise policy. I’m not really sure though actually, they just sent me a new set of rules, and I don’t remember the old one right now.
Another Property management company took over my lease, can they charge a late fee?
A few months ago we got a letter from the Superior Court of California stating that the house we are renting is in foreclosure because the property management company we were paying our rent to filed bankruptcy. We had another property management company come in and take over the rent collections for the bank as ordered by the court. We did not sign any landlord/tenant agreement with them. They have already tried to charge us a late fee (even though our rent was not late) but can they legally even charge us without any written agreement? And what happens with our deposit?
If my lease is up and the management company turned my deposit over to the landlord and also states that they?

What recourse does one have if management ignores numerous requests for a countersigned copy of the lease?
We signed a lease and submitted it to management about a month ago. We’ve asked for a countersigned copy multiple times and have been ignored. What I’d like to do is not pay rent until they give us a copy. But I’m afraid that without proof there’s nothing we can do.
If the property management company has changed since I signed my lease, is it still valid?
Property management company has changed multiple times since I signed my lease. All of them are horrible, as is the building owner, and won’t fix anything! What recourse do they have if I just move out?
