Question: Would a BA or MA in Business Management be a suitable degree to apply to law school with?
I previously asked a questions on whether an AA in Paralegal Studies would help me become a lawyer and I was quickly told no and that you need at least a BA “with a major in history, business or finance.” So is a BA in Business Management suitable as a BA in Business?

BA Business Administration and Finance with Dr Ivan K. Cohen
The BA Degree in Business Administration and Finance takes students beyond mathematics and teaches them the tools of Finance. It shows how numbers to help guide decision making process and provides a full understanding of finance in the broader sense. 1/3 of students go onto post graduate in finance, 1/3 into family businesses and 1/3 get jobs predominantly in finance and corporate finance. Richmond has a diverse intercultural student body and acts like a macrocosm for the world where cultures crossover on a global basis. What better place is there to study finance than London, one of the single biggest markets, and the center of the financial word.

Business Administration Vs. Management Degree?
Question: Business Administration Vs. Management Degree?
I wanted to major in Business Administration at my school, but they do not offer that major. The closest thing to it is Management, and they have mandatory minors “Enterpronourship”, “Human Resource” and “Operations Management”. I am thinking of taking a major in Management with a “specialization” in Operations Management (or Human Resource, I can’t decide). Now, I know that Business Administration majors sometimes go into fields like finance. Would I have less oppertunities presented to me when I get out of college if I take a Management major rather then going to a different school with a Business Administration major? I know this is a long question but I’d really appreciate a few answers, thank you!

Your degree only takes you soo far…its hard work that raises you in the ranks…its degrees like this that are so close tht it really doesn’t even matter which one you pick…because in the end you’ll get the job you want thru hardwork and dedication..

Finance generally means “loan” or “having to do with money”.
So, it could refer to financing the small business, which means having money to spend before you start to make money.
It could also mean getting a business loan to… finance the business.

Question: I need HELP picking a Major for Business Administration!?
I need HELP picking a Major for Business Administration… The ones I think are possible best fits for me are “Advertising and Marketing, “Health-care Administration”, or “Human Resources”. Which one would potentially offer the best salary and benefits plus stability?
So hard to pick..
Thanks Boston Gal. I am on the Deans List and have a high GPA. I hope to get my Bachelors and get started entry level while also working on a Masters after that.

Answer by LA Boston Gal
how GOOD you are will determine the best stability. Mediocre workers are the first to get laid off in any organization. if you are smart, innovative and a creative problem solver then you will rise to the top in any area of focus. If you are working on your Bachelors in Business, it really doesn’t matter which one you pick because undergrad only provides the basic foundation. You will need a masters to earn any real money. it is always wise to stick with the general such as finance or marketing in undergrad. then you can branch out.
