Max Weber is considered one of the founders of the modern study of sociology and public administration. Please describe how did he contribute to the general administrative theories of management

If I had a few years of experience as an administrative assistant could I qualify for a management position. Such as administrative manager or marketing manager. How much would a management position typically make?

I love the people I work with, and they have been encouraging me to be a manager. One of the managers quit. It was because the job was too stressful. It is lots of hours (on salary) and lots of responsibility, with very little thanks.

Alternatives are: stay as admin assistant and “train” the new manager, apply for management myself, or go to a different company.

What would YOU do?

1. Draft a memo to upper management detailing the benefits available to employees include health insurance, time off, retirement/savings plan, and one other work/life benefit.

2. Explain to management the primary strategic consideration involved in managing the proposed benefits program.

3. Identify an additional strategic consideration related specifically to one of the benefits in your proposed program?

I have a MS in Agribusiness Management, but i want to pursue a different career in the administrative field. I know they don’t make a lot of money, but my passion is organizing, typing, and other administrative type of duties. Can you give me some pointers as to which direction i should take. Right now, i’m at home with my two toddlers. I would love to get back in the corporate world and have some type of flexibility so i can be with my family more.

1)Why is it important for HR management to transform from being primarily administrative and operational to becoming a more strategic contributor?

I am currently thinking about pursuing a BA degree in Administrative management. I am under the impression that this is similar to Administrative Assistant job. I know it deals with office management and also some of the technical aspects of an executive secretary.

I was wondering because when I get my degree I want to move out of Michigan and get a better job to support me and my family.

Help please.
