I work for a big company where Management positions are a different path than technical or professional positions. Executives who join the company have already lot of experience in previous positions. I am working in a professional, technical area, and to aspire to move to executive management position from my current position is not realistic, I think. How to get promoted to executive management? Do I need an MBA? Would that help?
I cannot afford a 1st level university (Stanford and the like). I perhaps could take some obscure MBA, or I am lucky, a not-so-bad MBA… please advice.
