Question: On Medicaid, and HAVE to spend settlement or lose benefits?
I have a friend who just received a settlement from an old worker’s compensation injury.

She is on disability and has medicaid benefits for medical.

Now that she got the settlement, she received a letter from the Department of Human services saying she has to spend all of the money by this Thursday and provide receipts or she will lose her medical benefits.

She is not in a position to work so she needs her benefits.

So, what can she spend the money on that isn’t a “resource” (something of value) that will put her to where she loses her benefits?

Can she pay her family members the financial help they’ve provided over the past 15 years and have them give her a receipt, or what?

She can’t have “things” and she can’t save it, or she loses her medical benefits.

Bibi, she JUST got the settlement 2 weeks ago.

There’s nothing to pay back because she hasn’t needed anything but her typical prescriptions.

To the other poster…she is debt free because of the settlement…she’s responsible…that has been done.
Oh, I can see where you’re confused Bibi.

Her injury happened 15 years ago, and worker’s comp left the injury part of her case open and just settled with her to close it.

I’m surprised they haven’t told her she has to pay Medicaid back what they spent on her thus far.

Question: their’s something about mars and the moon…..?
if you didn’t know mars was inhabited NASA has been keeping it a secret their was evidence about the Martian Inca city, animal fossils, and Martian fossils. their’s even a transportation system which involves tubes above ground and underground….even little water beneath the Martian land….and the moon its nothing like other moons…if you didn’t notice the moon doesn’t rotate it only orbits the earth..how come mars’s moons or Jupiter’s moons rotate but not ours? we cant even see the dark side of the moon even NASA discovered towers a mile high and small cities. either the aliens weren’t able to colonize the earth because billions of years ago it was a toxic planet. the ocean was green filled with iron deposits and their was NO oxygen and NO atmosphere. after dinosaurs were ruling they still couldn’t colonize because of the giants. after the meteor it was still uninhabitable because the landscape was a barren wasteland…after the earth was healing it self thats when mammals and humans evolved…and they knew we were at the point of discovering them and they decided to leave earth alone….the one question is “did they drain all of their resources?” “was their a massive storm on mars?” “was their a major war that wiped out the Martian citizens that the power aliens were evacuated and scattered across the solar system? i might have an active imagination but just look at the evidence!

we the modern conveniences of technology, and advances of software and hardware along broader use of the internet and other network based super highways. My question is this, with all theses advances, shouldnt some of them be used to benifit freedom, justice and equality of the concous sort.

wouldn this be a more true democracy, but would never happen because who would loss there job or power? Politicians, politicians could be replaced by votes made everyday in the living room of your house, everyone’s house on what direction we the people want to go with the modern conveniences of technology there would be more transparency and genuine acceptance of accountability cause there will be no one else to blame.

also The electoral system could be abolished and all the money that is direverted to theses people that are hired by the state government commissioned to vote for “the people” but dont have to vote true to form when it comes to presidential elections. no one with ego should rule. also no corporation should be allowed to donate a unlimited amount to any presidential candidate the fact the supreme court allowed that is extremely scary because of the temptation and possible instability it could cause if position of power that represent a nation resting on one man…to do the right thing….for the lives of millions, who is more deserving that right, we the people or 1 man? we have the technology to govern ourselves as a nation finally to be a True Democracy, a True Republic, but we keep with tradition. America has always been about change and innovation, freedom, and equality, never about tradition. we as humans need all our limbs to survive why should be limit perception, we all need each other.

Projection of what will ensue if we stay on this path.

with limited state income there will be limited freedoms and help for those who need it most children, elderly and handicap. with the increase need to make up for the money we have already spent more pressure will be put onto the middle and lower class system along with state union based jobs. while corporations (resources)”oil, diamond, gold, lithium, etc” (information) “cell phone, software, visiual and auditory copyrighted owned” bla bla bla etc etc list goes on, get kick backs, and taxe cuts., they are the new kings and queens, titans of chance and we are being led to the finacal slaughter. more money leaves this country then stays in it… What do u see more of everyday a flag or a commercial? who do u have more loyalty to then? the local political institutions will grow in adjatatated by all the cut’s they will pass it onto the middle class, that is when all hell will ensue when the protests start happening, innocent will lose there lives like the 60s or the g8 summits etc as our freedoms of the right to assembly are challenged by police and there modern technology there weapons of peace….the world is in a state of change we can either continue with the status qua of what there verision of what government was intended to be for the people or what it should be? why should it stop there. imagine freedoms self governing as whole for a country with network with electronic vote that were connected every home into a better state. possible cause a uprising based on the original status quo to the limitation of today income”freedoms”. this unions, a bubble effect with disappearing lines and fewer states out of fear of change, out of traditions, change in perpective but no less wrong or right then any other, like bubbles on soap, separate and absorb to form a bigger bubble less divided, states we shall remain but united we shall not be…..on equality and honor, but not on principles…not on control/safty and convenience. with all of this, yes i see revolutions, a civil war and excess use of power and control through any means necessary to maintain order of the status quo…the traditional…convenience of of the convenient few.

Question: Do Miracles happen today, or is Christianity more Deistic?
Hey. I’m a Lutheran Christian, raised Catholic with divorced grandparents on both sides who are aethist. So yeah, I’m a little confused about how God works today as a “resource” to people: how does he interact with us on a day to day basis? I’ve been getting this stuff from my family that “questioning is hedonistic”, and “you just need to have faith and believe”, but that CAN’T be the end of it. According to the Bible, God gave us all the feelings we have to make us stronger, and the flaws and temptations we are faced with and feel should only make use more understanding in His love. I am still developing in my faith, and I feel like there is a blanket over my eyes. Are good things happening in the world a result of God’s hand directly?

I believe that real, true miracles are the action of people following God’s word and therefore, becoming like an extended part of God for a second, like Jesus was when he visited the sick, or
What I don’t understand is the aspect of prayer. Why do people pray for good health, a better life, the hope someone else will understand. And I have trouble understanding the process of good and evil. How do we determine what is good or evil? Because without knowledge of it, we cannot decide how to use our time on earth to save people well enough. Are we supposed to sacrifice ourselves to save everything, like Jesus? Or should we understand that there are some things we cannot handle, like in the bridge story, and just let go?
And finally, the concept of answered prayers. I’ve heard the country song. But what determines if a prayer is answered? The purity of the sender? I thought God answered all prayers equally. So does that mean he doesn’t answer any? Or that he just does it in a way that helps people find their ways differently?

That last answer, while accepted by many scholars, I reguard currently as bogus. I’ve studied the wars, plagues, and killings of human history down to the individual deaths of people in textbook to people I knew well. What use is an understanding of life when you can’t live it anymore? If you blantantly respond, “Like Jesus said, my kindom isn’t on earth”, the response would be: then what is the point of life on earth? Why live if you can’t help others with your life? If the people dying are helping others with their deaths, does that mean they are being sacrificed on the Altar of God to prevent a greater evil?

The point of that ramble, dear answerer, was to put across my point that if God answers one prayer, or one miracle, he neglects others. And as far as my current reasoning and reasoning of the bible is, that cannot be true. Thus, the only other explaination is the death or suffering of other people brings about a greater good, so mass suffering MUST happen, and God does not intervene directly, like in Deism. And no, I don’t want to ask my pastor or youth group member, or even a member of my church. I’ve tried asking them word for word. They have told me each person believes their own path. Well guy, or girls, or whoever is answering, I believe there is one path. One very difficult, painful path to doing the right thing. Kind of lik Roschach from Watchmen, but not psycho and stuff. The path can be black, white, or gray. But there is only one. No compromise. Making a decision is like walking on a tightrope. Yeah, I think heavily.

Also, like all my other questions, I don’t want some one word half baked answers here. I would prefer someone who actually knows what he is talking about. This means a lot to me.
